Summer Worship Schedule

We’re fortunate to have guest pastors leading our services every Sunday at 10am from June through September.

  • Rev. Timothy “Tim” Boeve will be leading worship each Sunday in June. Tim had a long pastorate in Sonoma Valley, served as director of the local Educational Foundation and was chaplain for the Sonoma Raceway.  He has a wide interest in modern issues of spirituality and presently lives at Lake Chapala, Mexico. Starting on June 2nd, Tim will be speaking each Sunday about the importance to our well-being of having and maintaining vital connections in four areas of our lives: relationships with ourselves, with the Divine, with others, and with the natural world. He will be staying in Tahoe for the month of June and has offered to make himself available to meet with members of our congregation, reach out to members of our community, and be available to provide pastoral care as needed.

  • We are honored to have The Rev. Dr. Edward “Ted” Robinson and his wife Barbara joining us each Sunday in July from South Lake Tahoe. Ted, Senior Minister Emeritus, was ordained by the Boston Association of the United Church of Christ, and since that time has sought to provide faithful leadership as opportunities and churches have called, including churches in the Midwest, Denver, CO, and Honolulu, HI. Ted and Barbara have owned a home in the Tahoe Keys for twenty-five years and when they moved into semi-retirement they asked themselves, “Where should we settle at this time in our lives?”  The answer: “The place we love the most, Lake Tahoe!” During the month of July, Ted will be sharing reflections on Sundays around the theme “The Gifts of the Spirit”.

  • We look forward to having two of our guest pastors from last summer returning to lead worship during the month of August. Rev. Lois Mueller will join us on August 4th and 11th. Lois is Pastor Emerita of Plymouth Jazz & Justice Church, a vibrant, diverse UCC congregation in Oakland, CA. In retirement, Lois leads courses, workshops and retreats through A Deeper Path: The Call of Aging (www.adeeperpath.com).  In addition to her seminary training, she has a master’s degree in social work with an emphasis in aging.

  • Rev. Beverly Brook will lead worship on August 18th and 25th. Beverly is a United Church of Christ pastor who currently serves as chaplain to individuals who are incarcerated in the Santa Cruz County Jail and Juvenile Detention Center. RevBev is a commissioner on the Juvenile Justice Commission and a member of the Santa Cruz County Jail Oversight Committee. She is a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Santa Cruz.

  • Rev. Ted Robinson will return to lead Sunday services on September 1st, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.

  • We'll have a special service on Sunday, September 8th when Rev. Todd Evans and Tuck Wilson will be leading a service celebrating and reflecting on the songs of John Denver. Come ready to sing along!

We welcome everyone into our Christian community.
We perceive in Jesus the divine qualities of love, peace, compassion, and justice.
We are drawn to the specific tradition and history gathered around his name.
